Humble Beginnings

Preachers Pay Preachers was founded in March of 2016 under the realization that many of today’s ministers are using web search engines and preaching directly from sermons they have pulled from the internet. While the internet is a limitless resource, ministers risk being accused of plagiarism without making significant alterations to the core materials they find.

We are also aware that there are millions of ministers who have been writing their own sermons for years. Many of the sermons written are preached once and filed away in the archives. The result is an innumerable amount of sermons that took hours of preparation remain unseen and un-preached for the remainder of that ministers life.
We began to brainstorm the best approach to bringing these two parties together. Our desire was to provide a format for preachers who have years of sermons archived to resurrect them and make them available for others to use. These sermons would be purchased for use “with permission” avoiding the issue of plagiarism and allowing authors of materials used to be compensated for their efforts.

Our ultimate dream for Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. is twofold:

  1.  Preachers Pay Preacher, Inc. will provide a community where those looking for resources can find anything they need in one marketplace and purchase them for use, without fear of plagiarism violations.
  2. Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will provide a marketplace for people to sell materials they have developed through the years. In having a marketplace for selling sermons and other ministry related resources, it is our hope that Preachers Pay Preachers might be a format for retired/retiring ministers to have an added means of support in their golden years.

May God bless Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. and all who take part! We are excited to see what the future holds for Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc.!! (Thank you Katie!)
