Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. Fees and Payments Policy
Contributors are paid commissions for all downloads that have been purchased from their contributed works. Fees may be deducted from the commissions at the time of payment. This policy explains your commissions, fees, bills and taxes. You will find explanations about how Preachers Pay Preachers pays you and how you will pay any fees owed to Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc.
Commissions and Payment Process
When you make a sale through Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc., you will be eligible for commissions at the rate established by your membership status:
- Beta Testers: 85%
- Premium Annual and Lifetime Platinum Members: 80%
- Free Basic: 65%
Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc., uses PayPal Standard as our payment gateway. All items purchased regardless of the payment method (PayPal, credit/debit card, etc.) process through PayPal. PayPal is also the avenue for sending out payment to our sellers/contributors. If you are listing and selling products you MUST provide an email address associated with a PayPal account in order to receive your commission.
Payment Processing Fees For Commissions
Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. uses PayPal as the payment gateway. This is how you will get paid. We will use PayPal to process commission payments. The commission payment you receive will show your total commission minus the PayPal Transaction Fee ($0.30+2.9%). Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will pay commissions on a monthly basis if your account has accrued over $5.00 to avoid small payments being absorbed by transaction fees. You may ask for your commission payment that is less than $5.00 at any time. Just use the contact form at the end of this document to let us know you would like to receive your commission even if it is less than $5.00.
Promoted Listing is the ability to buy an ad through Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. You will be charged a separate advertising fee If this feature is available and you choose to use it. Advertising fees are 10 cents ($0.10 USD) per click. You will be able to set a daily budget and will never be charged more than your daily budget. You may have those fees deducted from your monthly commission or use the automatic payment plan (Autobilling).
Contributor (Seller) Fees
Currently, there are a few types of fees applied to the Contributor:
- PayPal Payment Processing Fee ($0.30+2.9% per transaction): There is a processing fee for the convenience of using PayPal as the payment gateway. This processing fee will only be charged when Preachers Pay Preachers issues a payment to you. The payment processing fee is deducted from your commission payment automatically when payment is processed.
- Shop Manager Fees are only applicable if you have requested a shop manager to transcribe handwritten sermons, create and/or manage your listings. If you have employed a shop manager, your shop manager will automatically receive 5% commission on a sale of any item the shop manager has created the listing for. The shop manager will receive 10% commission on any sales from items that were transcribed from handwritten and then downloaded to the product listing page. Those fees are automatically applied at the time of the sale and distributed by Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. as a separate commission.
- Advertising Fees are applied if you buy an ad through Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. The fees may be deducted automatically from your monthly commission payment or you my use Autobilling to make payments monthly.
When Possible, Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will auto deduct any amount owed from the amount of your commission payment. If the commission payment is not enough to pay the total Advertising Fees owed, Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will send you a bill at the beginning of each month. The bill will detail the amount due for the prior month’s fees and services. You are solely responsible for paying your Bill in full within 15 days of the invoice, or the account will be considered past due. If the account is overdue, advertising services will automatically be suspended until the account is current to avoid accruing additional charges to your account.
Your options for paying your bill include manually by credit card, debit card, PayPal or AutoBilling. Users may also enroll in AutoBilling as the automatic bill payment option.
By enrolling in Preacher Pay Preachers, Inc. AutoBilling automatic payment plan, your fees will be charged to the credit card or PayPal account you have on file. To use the plan, you agree to the following terms.
You authorize Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. to keep your payment information on file and to charge the account on file on the first business day of each calendar month for the previous month’s outstanding charges. Upon enrollment, Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will charge the card on file with your current balance.
When your payment account on file is debited, Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will send you an email with the amount charged. You can also review this information in your account on Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. website.
If the payment information on file with us is no longer valid or the account number is changes or if for any reason a charge is rejected by your card issuer, you must update your payment information or add a new payment account in your Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. account. If the charge is refused by the issuer for any reason, you may be subject to penalties such as the suspension of your account privileges and or termination, and you are not released from your obligation to pay your bill by some other means. Your authorization applies to any successor or replacement card you or your card issuer provides.
You may cancel AutoBilling and change to manual billing by updating your billing setting in your Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. account. We require a reasonable period of time to act after we receive your notice. This means that an additional automatic payment may be made to your card account while we are processing your request.
Suspended or terminated members remain obligated to pay Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. for all unpaid fees.
Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. This includes but is not limited to encouraging buyers to purchase an item in your shop through another venue. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the price of an item after a sale for the purpose to avoided Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. transaction fees, or use another user’s account without permission.
Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. Direct Checkout service enables sellers to accept various forms of payment. Sellers registered for Direct Checkout can accept payment by credit card, debit card, PayPal and some bank transfers. Sellers using Direct Checkout are also subject to the Direct Checkout Policy.
You are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with using and making sales through Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. services.
Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. will issue 1099-K forms to certain sellers in the United States to comply with IRS requirements.
Please remember that Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. fees do not include any withholding taxes that might apply in your home country. You are required to pay Preachers Pay Preachers, Inc. the full amount of our fees and may not deduct any applicable withholding taxes from the amount.
